Before there was a collective, there was a conviction: that music isn’t background noise, it’s the whole point. That distinction is why Curate exists and why every room he walks into leaves changed.
Roots. Malike Adigun grew up in New York City, surrounded by the best music, art, and creative culture in the world. That environment didn’t just shape his taste. It became his standard. The city showed him what it felt like when everything in a room was firing at once, and he never forgot it.
Cultural Fluency. What sets Malike apart isn’t just what he knows. It’s how he moves between worlds. The energy of the club, the refinement of a black-tie reception, the intimacy of a dinner party that somehow ends as the greatest dance party anyone has ever been to. He doesn’t choose between those worlds. He holds all of them at once.
Founding Curate. A decade ago, Malike brought something new to the wedding world: the conviction that a celebration should feel like a night out, not a catered event. That instinct became Curate: a collective built on the belief that joy isn’t a bonus, it’s the whole point. And that the right person behind the music can change an entire room.
Life Outside of Work. Away from the floor, Malike is a husband and a father. He travels whenever he can, mostly because new cities mean new people, and new people mean new opportunities. He eats well, listens constantly, and believes that a full life and a full dance floor aren’t that different from each other.
He built this. It still moves through him.
Curate started with one person and one belief: that a room can be transformed on purpose. Everything the collective has become still carries that same instinct, performed now by every name on the roster—not just his.
